September 11 was not just September 11. It is May 9. It is February 18. It is December 22. For those who lived, worked, studied, or visited Lower Manhattan that blue sky day and in the days, weeks, and months after, September 11 was and is every single day. An ongoing experience. A day without end. A moment that, even for those too young to remember, lives on. 

Working with families who ceaselessly live 9/11, Katie is developing a narrative nonfiction book of the enduring 9/11 stories and the new generation defining that beautiful blue day. The stories yet to be fully told, because they continue to evolve. The healthcare battles. The missing loved ones. The fear of the unknown. The advocacy work. The stories waiting to be heard.
